The Wutehring Heights farm house is now guarded by vicious dogs to ward off any intruders. Heathcliff, the bitter man who owns the estate will do anything to keep others away and leave him to sulk in his  misery. This is important to show how revenge and hatred can ruin someone's life, leaving them to die in despair.
Cathy's pony Minnie is one of the most cherished things in her life. Minnie holds a special place in her heart because she was a child who grew up without a mother and found solace in the pony. The importance if this is to really capture the lonely life the fragile girl lives, especially with a ill father; Minnie is the only one she has left to call hers.

Heathciff hold's Minnie with a powerful grasp, symbolizing his empowerment over little Cathy. This stance also shows how he is in total control and doesn't care what he has to do to get what he wants. It is important because we begin to see a new side of Heathcliff.

Faithful maid Nelly is shown busy preparing a meal for the Earnshaw family. This shows her dedication to her job and the family which is important to understand her perspective.

Heathcliff filled with rage and hatred for everything and everyone begins to take his anger out on any one in his path. Even Nelly, the maid who cared for him when no one else did was shown no remorse and was slapped ferociously across her face. This shows how much Heathcliff has changed and he no longer feels compassion.

This photo shows Heathliff looking deep into his loves eyes while she (Catherine Earnshaw) looks out into the forest behind. The importance of this is to show how much Heathcliff had truly loved her; while Catherine's heart was torn between two lovers. She could not confess her love to Heathliff because of his low class, so instead she betrays her own heart and marries Linton.

The happy maid Nelly does her daily chores with a smile. This shows her caring and optimistic personality. She is one of the only few at Wuthering Heights who actually cared for others than herself.

The landscape of Wutehring Heights is a rough terrain and it is usually rainy in the area. This picture captures the scenery of the estate which is important to show what the Earnshaw family grew up in.
